DEAR ALL
Here we are again, a new year has passed, and the Christmas peace will soon descend in many hundreds of MOMEK homes. Manyof our employees also have to work during Christmas. This has always been the case at MOMEK, we often work when the factories stop and the others go home.
New projects have been won and completed, some also lost. But new goals are in sight and the MOMEK ship sails with good wind and a steady course towards an exciting 2022. And let me just say it right away, we have a lot of exciting opportunities ahead of us!
After a calm start to 2021 as a result of a pandemic, we experienced an ever-increasing number of assignments throughout the spring. And since May, we have been busy maneuvering from project to project, maintenance shutdowns and ongoing assignments.
During the spring we also performed a significant change to our organization. We merged 4 of our companies and have thus created a new operating platform where resources and expertise can be mobilized seamlessly to our customers. We are getting closer and closer to the goal of being one MOMEK family, where everyone works for a common cause and common goals. The complexity of the projects is increasing, demands and expectations from ourselves, our customers and the surroundings are high, and they should be! That is what drives us forward!
This year we have a special focus on sustainability: How MOMEK can be a positive force in the work of taking care of the environment and people. And there is much more we can do: Clean energy in cars, reduce transport, lower energy consumption, better waste sorting, use green certified products in our production, and develop good future-oriented products for the industry, to name a few. In 2022, we will be certified not only within new production- and quality standards, but also the environmental standard ISO-14001.
The social highlight this year was MOMEK Action Week at the end of July. An event with activities and concerts for adults and children. We were at ACR, Rabothytta, Vitensenteret, Klatreparken, Havblikk and Lurøyfjellet. The events were carried out in a good pandemic spirit, we got all kinds of weather, but always with a good mood and attitude. We hope for a 2022 where we can be more together, travel together, be closer, and meet physically without restrictions or fear. But right now we do not know what next year will bring, only that we will adapt when we have to, and find solutions as we have done so far.
We all experience that there are tough periods from time to time. But above all, I think we are so incredibly lucky! Lucky that we have good and safe jobs in a time where many are struggling. We live in a part of the world where people have the highest life quality. Our businesses are placed in regions where there are skilled and motivated people that work hard to create growth, new sustainable businesses, and opportunities for us all. And we work in MOMEK, a company where the focus is to create: Create good jobs, new jobs, new experiences, new knowledge and new friendships.
We are MOMEK, we are lucky and we are ready for 2022!
With this, I wish all MOMEKs, MOMEK families and friends of MOMEK a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

INVESTING IN
THE FUTURE
Dear colleagues in MOMEK.
For me, it has been a pleasure to get to know more of you skilled and forward-thinking MOMEKs.
Throughout 2021, there has been full throttle and long days in MOMEK Invest. We have worked with many cases, and since the beginning established 9 new companies. Before Christmas, MOMEK Robotics AS will also be a reality. We have invested approximately 20 million of the equity and put into operation approximately 90 million, including loans, grants and co-financing.
Some examples of products, real estate and other businesses we have invested in:
- TappingMate, a new robotic solution for tapping metal from smelters that will improve the everyday lives of employees, reduce pollution and increase profitability. Other robot solutions we work with are WelderMate and AlumatIQ.
- The company MOMEK Løvold AS, which aims to flag home the production of anchors and other aquaculture products from China to Mo i Rana, Norway, and produce at least 1000 anchors per year. Welding robot and production line have been ordered and will be in our workshop before Easter.
- Barracks rigs with 117 rooms are in place at the gate to Mo industrial park.
In the Brennåsen area, we have bought land that we are working to regulate with the goal of building 200 apartments, and at Båsmoen we are planning five semi-detached houses. - In Skellefteå, Sweden, we have recently bought a house for MOMEK’s investment there, in Gällivare we own a housing rig and in Melbu, Norway – a workshop and offices that were refurbished this year to the delight of our colleagues there.
We invest aggressively and when we succeed, it means more assignments and attractive jobs in MOMEK.
We have achieved good synergies in the MOMEK system such as better organized development work, increased activity and profitability, competence building and a strengthened reputation. In addition, we have provided 13 million in development support for MOMEK companies.
There was fantastic support in the issue this autumn, where as many as 64 MOMEK employees subscribed for shares for a total of 7.8 million. We are now 72 owners in the company. This shows that many in MOMEK have a strong commitment, faith and willingness to help build jobs and a positive future.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your trust and wish you a peaceful Christmas and all the best for the year to come.

2021 – THE YEAR OF MOMEK
The year started a little slow, but escalated substantially on hourly assignments and larger projects.
MOMEK Civil landed one contract after another, and has buildt an order backlog for 2021 and 2022. They have worked closely with Hæhre at Smisto, built a pilot factory for FREYR, expanded the hotel at Lovund, concrete jobs at Elkem Rana and several construction projects locally.
In Q2, MOMEK Techteam and MOMEK Oilfield merged into MOMEK Services, which provides good synergies and immediate effect.
Together, we have carried out several audit shutdowns and major projects at Rana Kraft, Celsa, Finnfjord Smelter as well as maintenance on cranes for Equinor, just to name a few. This would not have been possible without the interdisciplinary expertise where, among other things, engineering and electric/automation have played a central role.
Momin, our company in Sweden, has very good and stable operations as well as long-term contracts with Boliden and LKAB. They have now won a new and strategically important contract of 3 + 2 years with Boliden Rønnskjær, which in turn means that we establish a department in Skellefteå.
On the basis of good deliveries over several years, we have also gained renewed confidence at Alcoa with a new 5-year contract for oven base replacement.
In 2021, our department at Melbu has set a sales record for pump sales, in addition to hiring several new employees.
MOMEK Personnel has delivered well despite major challenges related to Covid. They have invested in and hired several key people who work purposefully with fishfarming and rock protection. They have also hired an administrative resource in Romania for even better quality assurance of personnel before they are sent on assignment.
MOMEK PT Modular works with several leads, and it will be very exciting to see which projects are landed.
During the first quarter of 2022, we will install a 24 meter long robotic welding cell at the workshop in Mo i Rana. The cell is versatile and can be adapted to both individual products and series production of anchors for the new company MOMEK Løvold. The cell will also replace the current mantle robot.
We have received a lot of good feedback on the work done by our customers – who have already ordered MOMEK to next year’s audit stops to secure qualified personnel.
The year 2021 seems to be the year of MOMEK, and 2022 also looks very promising 😉

STATUS ECONOMY AND OUTLOOK FOR 2022
The end of the year is appoaching, and we are settling the status of how the financial year 2021 has gone.
Ronny Østrem Pedersen
CFO, MOMEK Group
After a slow start to the year, MOMEK has had a good run since May. The forecast for 2021 seems to give a turnover of about 564 million and an EBIT (operating profit) for the year’s operations of 24 million. In terms of turnover, this is at the same level as for 2020. Good operations and good profitability have contributed to a significant improvement in earnings, and given us the best result in history in MOMEK! This is despite the fact that the result is partly characterized by Covid-19, and that we have implemented a merger process and an organizational change.
Next year’s budget was discussed by the board earlier in December. The level of the budget for next year has a growth of just over 29% compared to 2021. The order backlog in next year’s budget is approximately NOK 70 million above the level of last year’s budget. Necessary new sales to reach next year’s budget is somewhat higher than realized new sales for 2021, but is considered realistic based on sales opportunities in the market.
In 2022, MOMEK will continue to focus on the Nordic market with services and products we are good at. There will still be a focus on profitability and earnings. This is to ensure a sustainable solvency in the operations of MOMEK.
DEAR MOMEK’s AND FRIENDS OF MOMEK
2021 was a record year for MOMEK! I am of course very pleased with this, and would like to thank both employees, customers and suppliers for this.
But it may be good to understand why 2021 was a good year. The most important reason is that interaction across MOMEK has improved, and our costs have been reduced. Another reason is that the industry in Norway is doing well, and especially our large markets within the process industry, mining and mining. In other words, we have the markets with us, but we still get nothing for free. When MOMEK employees in a familiar style both make wise choices are flexible and take responsibility – yes, that makes 2021 a very good year.
Good job everyone!
Corporate social responsibility
MOMEK has a great desire to contribute to socially positive development, and has for many years contributed to various activities and projects. For example, construction of the ice and tennis hall at Skillevollen, Fageråsen jumping facility, ACR and In The Same Boat. This year’s contribution goes to the Volunteer Center and the fantastic work they do.
I wish all employees and friends of MOMEK a Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2022!
Wiggo Dalmo
Owner, and Chairman of the Board
